EARTH'S HIGHEST MOUNTAIN ROSE FROM THE SEA INTO THE CLOUDS, CREATING A TEMPTING TARGET FOR ADVENTURERS

        Fossilised fish remains have been found high on the frozen slopes of Mount Everest-proof that once, millions of years ago, the world's highest mountain lay at the bottom of the sea. How Everest came to travel halfway across the world and then rise up to reach two-thirds of the way through the earth's atmosphere is just one of the fascinating stories that add to the magnificent beauty of this mountain.

        About 200 million years ago the Indian subcontinent broke away from a vast southern super-continent called "Gondwanaland". It drifted north-east across the sea, and collided with the Asian landmass. So this immense land marks buckled, folded and rose up to form the world's loftiest mountains, one of which is the Mount Everest of 29,028ft (8848m).

       The Tibetian names the mountain translate variously as 'Goddess of  the Mountain Snows','Goddess Mother of the World, and Mountain So High That No Bird Can Fly Over It'. It was first measured in 1852 and was called Peak XV until 1865, when it was named Mount Everest, after the British Surveyor General of India, Sir George Everest. He was a tireless, meticulous military engineer, instrumental in achieving the first accurate mapping of India and the Himalayas.

       

Cooling Oil In Aviation

         Yet another milestone in history of world aviaton industries has been achieved in England by Thomson Airways by using cooking oil to run a plane and the trial was a great success. This type of cooking oil may replace the existing Jet A1 fuel in aircrafts to a great extent. In a 4 hour long successful flight time, a Boeing 757 plane boarded by 232 passengers has made an mark in the history by travelling using oil has fuel from Birmingham to lazarote of Spain before landing in Aracefe airport in Spain.
         Chemical composition othe used oil was the cooking oil subjected to hydro processed mixture ester and fatty acids[HEFA]. Of the two engines of Boeing plane one was supplied with 50% of cooking oil and 50% of regular A1 oil and the engine worked efficiently.
       Thomson aviation company has collected oil from restaurants which was  refined using various chemical process. Now Thomson group eyes in achieving full usage of the refined cooking oil in all their planes efficiently from 2012. Thomson group has been recieving warm support fom England parliament members and government considring it as a step towards contolling global warming by usage of less carbon fuels.
 Lets hope this attempt would be eco-friendly and will deliver good results towards tackling Global warming.

Metro On Tracks

South India's first metro rail "Bangalore Namma Metro" was flagged off to public by union minister Kamal Nath on 20/10/2011 at MG road station. The first service was from MG road to Bayappanahally terminal. Namma Metro was given a warm welcome by bthe public who gathered in numbers at MG road station. This was gifted to about 85 lakhs of bangaloreans as a Deepavali gift as promised by the chief minister Sadhananda Gowda.

 The distance between MG road and Bayappanahally terminal is 6.7km and has a journey of 15 minutes. The expence of this 6.7km metro is 1540 crores and the cost of each station is around 30-40crores. The service starts from 6 am in the morning upto 10 pm and will be having one train at an interval of 10 minutes. The capacity of metro train is 1000 persons. The cost of  one metro train is 30 crores. A part of this cost will be recollected in the form of advertisements by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited(BMRCL). BMRCL has already sold 10000 smart contactless travel cards which costs around 1000. BMRCL is eyeing to sale 2 lakhs cards in coming days. These card will be mainly utilised by the tourists. For the advertisement behind smart cards various companies have visited BMRCL for about 5 lakhs. 2.5 crores will be earned by BMRCL only through these advertisements.

 Metro in bangalore will be having 41 stations in 4 Reach out of which 6 are now in service. The highlight of metro will be that it will be having 7 underground stations.Metro from all four directions will be having thier meeting point at Majestic. The manufactuing process was undertaken in 3 reaches. As now the route between MG road and Bayappanahally terminal will be extended further to Majestic via Chinnaswamy Stadium, Vidhan Soudha and Central college.

The second reach starts from Mysore road to Majestic via Deepanjali nagar, Vijayanagar, Hossahally,Tollgate,Magdhi road and City station, and the third reach from Soap factory, Mahalakshmi layout, Rajaji nagar, Kuvempunagar, Mallaeshwaram, Swasthik to Majestic.

 The fully completed Metro will be a landmark to the Asia's fastest growing city 'BANGALORE' and the 75% of the city's traffic will be undercontrol.

Steve Jobs In Making

On 1955 February 24 a legend was born named "STEVE JOBS". His mother was an unmarried degree student when she gave birth to steve. But Steve was then adopted to a couple 'Jobs and Clara' with a promise to his mother that they would give Steve the finnest education until degree. But unfortunately Steve had to discontinue his education as he realised that his parents could'nt afford. His life lead him in a such a miserable way that he had to fill his stomach by the money which he got from selling empty coca cola bottle's which he collected.He on sunday's waited for hours in long que at Hare Krishna temple for food.Steve always cherished a dream of visiting India as he was attracted toward the traditions and customs of India. His dream came into alive when he made a visit to India and was attracted towards Buddhism which he then followed throughout his life. Steve had learned calligraphy which helped him a lot in his future.

     In 1976 Steve with his two friends started a company called APPLE  in his dad's car shed. This company was growing ina good pace upto 1985 when steve was put out of the Apple due to leadership collisions. Steve was tired by this, as a sweet revenge Steve alone started NEXT a computer platform and a animation company called PIXAR which is till date regarded as the mast costliest animation company in the world.

                                                     

In 1996 Apple owned NEXT which made for the re-entry of  Steve to APPLE as the CEOfrom where the historical growth of apple started by creating new gadgets which were extraordinary and was par excellence.The gadgets included I-Mac,I-Pod,I-Pad and I-Phones.As Steve reached many heights he followed a very simple life stylewhich all others should have learned. He  resigned a sthe CEOof apple in the month of July 2011 as he was affected by cancer to his pancreas. On 6 October 2011 Steve left the world which would be a huge lost to the entire world.

Aakash The Wonder Tablet

     The search for world's cheapest PC was started by India in the year 2005 and now, in 2011 India designs the world's most cheapest tablet computer-AAKASH worth Rs 1100.
     Aakash was earlier named as Sakshat and was designed by  N K Sinha an IITian and was manufactured in  Datawind owned by Rajnath Singh Tuli and Suneeth Singh Tuli who were specialised in manufacturing tablet computers.

      N K Sinha  came up with an idea of developing a lap worth 10 dollars for which, it was given green signal by government of India by sacking the proposal of Massachussets Inistitute of Technology
 of developing a lap worth 100 dollars. Sinha with the help of IIT'ians developed the primary design of aakash, in 2009, 170 students from IIT Rajasthan together developed the prototype of the tablet.

     The eyecatching features of aakash are:

• Processor       -  366MHz supporting graphics accelerator and high definition HD video.
• Memory         -  256MB RAM
• Storage          -   2GB Internal Flash memory (upto 32GB expandable external memory)

            The manufacturing rights for 1lakh tablets    

 was given to Datawind. This tablet will be made available to the students for a price around 1100 to 1400 after subsidizing the price upto 50% in different states, whereas the market price will be Rs 3000, the tablet will be marketted by the end of this year.Later, by collecting the feedback from 500 students the new modified version of aakash will be released for less than 10 dollars that is less than 500 rupees.
